Wow. It's been a while since I updated anything of late, especially my journal. In fact, I really stopped signing into dA because I had lost my subscription since I was so broke I really had to cut back on anything I could. That meant no more dA subscription and I just didn't sign on. I didn't even realize that I had reached 10,000 pageviews until a week or two back.
I want to thank every single person that has favorited/commented/watched my artwork. I'm grateful that I live in a time where many artists from all over the world can share and see so many beautiful pieces. Thank you guys.
I'm currently in New York, I'm flying home to S.F. today after a week out in New England. My brother got married and I was a bridesmaid in his wedding. I got some beautiful shots of Courtney, the bride, and my darling brother, the groom, when I could, but my time was primarily taken up by wedding-responsibilities. And besides, the professional photographer was a little testy when I pulled out my camera and started taking shots.
I'm trying to keep up with taking and editing shots, but my time has been so infrequent lately. There are a couple photo shoots that I'm really going to put a serious effort into taking in the next couple weeks before school.
* Working with Ilana once more before she leaves for Boston for good in September. Ilana is by far one of my favorite models and my best friend. I will miss her terribly when she leaves with her family. We will need to get together and discuss themes and possible locations.
* Steampunk-related photoshoot. The last couple steampunk photoshoots I've attended, I have been one of the models and I would really, really like to shoot one of myself and edit them in my own way.
* Some retro/pin-up inspired shoot with another model, Leda. She's a wonderful model that I've worked with as a fellow model, but never had the opportunity to shoot her and I'm kicking myself as to why I haven't made time before.
* Photo shoot with my boyfriend. It came up a couple weeks ago that we don't have any pictures of us together because we are both photographers. We both take pictures of each other, but never pictures of us together. It's bizarre. There is an image in my brain that I would love to get on camera, but who knows how it'll come out.
Now that it is written out, it is a daunting list to finish off before school starts in the end of August, since I'm working too, but I would really like to get some good creative photo shoots in before I start taking photography classes and having to take pictures for class. As much fun as that is, there is a distinctive difference between photos you want to take and the ones that are for a project.

My teacher once asked me, "If all your friends jumped off a bridge, would you jump too?". And somewhere in the back of my head, I thought; this would be the LAST person I'd ask to come with me on a bungee jumping trip.
