Maid of the Mist

The Maid of the Mist boat-ride tour of Niagara Falls. If you have the chance to take it, do it. The boat takes you incredibly close to the horseshoe side of the falls and you really get the full effect of how massive and wonderful the falls are.

I went on the tour on a very sunny and warm day and literally going in close the falls almost blotted out the sun and it turned into a rainstorm. It was thrilling and one of my favorite moments of my cross-country trip.

I've lived by the ocean my whole life, so I've never had that experience of standing by the ocean and feeling so small, but being right next to this massive waterfall made me feel that. It's a rush.
